The Bolivian Roads Administration (ABC) has proceeded to the final reception of the project “Rehabilitation of the San Ramón – San Javier -Concepción – Río Uruguaito Section” with Ghenova’s supervision, after an inspection that verified compliance with the observations made in the provisional reception.
The 131 km project has been implemented in two phases, a first phase of rehabilitation and construction lasting 2 years and a second phase of maintenance by standards also lasting 2 years. The road includes a recycled base layer stabilised with cement, a 4.5 cm polymer-modified asphalt layer, a 7 metre wide roadway and a 1 metre wide berms with a 3 cm asphalt layer. In addition, it includes the entire system of drainage and signs in accordance with international standards that guarantee a safe and passable road. The project includes the construction of two bridges over the Uruguaito and Quízer streams of 51.20 m and 65 m respectively.
As a consequence of the Project, a greater integration of the regions with great productive potential is foreseen, facilitating the commercial exchange between these regions and the area of direct influence of the project. Due to the generation of resources from tourism typical of the area, in recent years there has been rapid growth which is reflected in very significant increases in the volume of traffic.
