THE TECHNICAL SOLUTION
The project scope includes engineering activities in the disciplines of naval architecture/project, structure, equipment and outfitting and systems, for approval by the classification society (BV). It is relevant to highlight that the design is made to comply with SRTP (Safe Return to Port) requirements and that it includes all the integration of the dual propulsion system, within which the whole LNG system is included.
It is a project for an intelligent ship with liquefied natural gas (LNG) propulsion of 232.30 meters in total length, to transport 1700 people on board and 3.300 linear meters for loading trucks and cars.
INTERNAL ASSESSMENT OF THE PROJECT
This work is the continuation of a previous phase in which technical support was provided to La Naval for the validation of the conceptual project carried out by a third company for the shipowner. In a second stage, a more detailed conceptual project was carried out jointly by the shipyard and Ghenova, culminating with the contracting of the Basic Engineering.
To carry out the work, the project team is made up of more than 25 highly qualified technicians with proven experience in the development of ferry construction projects, such as Abel Matutes and Martón Soler (Baleària), Volcán del Teide and Volcán de Tindaya (Armas), and Sorolla and Fortuny (Transmediterránea).
